Top Apps Of The Week

By on December 15, 2014

As Android Lollipop is already available, developers are trying to write apps and games according to the new material design compatible with latest version of Android. Following is a list of newly released apps for android, iOS and other platforms as well.

Candy Crush Saga

Candy Crush Saga is one of the most famous games available for iOS and Android devices. Finally after two years, the developing team behind this amazing app heard millions of Windows Phone users and Candy Crush Saga is now available for Windows Phone. As this is the first version of Candy Crush Saga on Windows Phone devices, expect some bugs and weird behavior. Like Android and iOS, Candy Crush Saga for Windows Phone is available for fee (in app purchases).

Here Beta

Here is a map service and app developed by Nokia. It is considered direct competitor of Google Maps and Apple Maps. Earlier, “Here” was only available for Windows Phone devices but now they have decided to cross the barrier and release this amazing app for other platforms as well. Though Here for Android is already available but iOS users have to wait a little longer to get this app on their devices. You can download this app for free from Google Play Store.

Humin Beta

Many people find it quite difficult to manage their contact list; not only that but a long contact list with personal and business contacts also creates lots of other problems as well.  Humin Beta is a newly released idea and app that automatically manages the whole contact list. It allows you to search basic but important details about a particular contact; for example you can search where he/she lives and where you met that person. This makes it easy to remember things about individual contact. This app is available for iOS and Android devices from their respective app stores.

Robinhood

Unlike what the name suggests Robinhood is not a game. Robinhood makes it easier and interesting to buy and sell stocks directly from your iOS device. If you own an iOS device with fingerprint scanner then you can configure the app to use your Touch ID as passcode. This app shows you different stocks in different colors to help users identify when stocks are open for trading. Amazingly Robinhood does not take any brokerage fee that makes it one of the best apps for trading. This app is available for free on Apple App Store aka iTunes.

Workflow

Workflow is a newly released iOS app that makes it easier to automate things on your smartphone. Though it is not as easy as it sounds but Workflow provides you first step to make your digital life much more organized and productive. Unlike many other similar apps and services, Workflow allows you to connect with Dropbox to keep your creations saved on cloud storage. You can download Workflow from iTunes for $3.
