Google Android Wear has been gaining more and more popularity for last couple of months; now there are Moto 360, LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live available and these smart watches are compatible with most of the Android devices available today. Following is a list of best Android Wear apps you can get from the Google Play Store.

Wear App Manager

After installing few Android Wear apps on smart watch, it gets little hard to find a specific app quickly. Wear App Manager organizes those apps and makes it easier for users to find any app quickly. Users can install this app on their phone or tablet and manage all of the installed apps from the phone or tablet directly. Wear App Manager also shows option to uninstall an app from the phone and it also shows app size and permissions.

Wear Mini Launcher

Like any other launcher made for Android phone and tablets, Wear Mini Launcher is also a launcher but it is exclusively designed for Android Wear watches. Android Wear watches launch apps by voice input but it is not always possible to use voice command to launch an app. Wear Mini Launcher creates an app drawer on the smart watch and users can see and open any app from there. Wear Mini Launcher shows all apps in two columns grid and this app is available for free.

Duolingo

Duolingo is one of the most popular educational apps available for Android devices. Though Duolingo for phone and tablet is quite different than the Duolingo app available for Android Wear but the primary purpose of both versions is the same. Duolingo helps users learning different languages including English, Irish, Danish, Italian, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese. So with the help of Duolingo app, you can do more with your smart watch instead of using this expensive piece of gadget for notifications and time management only.

Wear Battery Status

As the name suggests, Wear Battery Status shows the battery status at any given time. Most of the Android Wear devices come with built in battery app, but you can also install Wear Battery Status for a more detailed report of your battery usage and status. Wear Battery Status is available for free and there are some in-app purchases to unlock additional features. Wear Battery Status shows which apps are draining more battery power and you can find alternatives of those apps. It also shows notification about critical battery level.

Calendar for Android Wear

Calendar for Android Wear is quite similar to native calendar app available in Android devices. You can see your appointments, upcoming events and even schedule a meeting from your Android Wear directly. Tapping on an event or appointment shows details about that particular event. There are some additional features you can unlock via in-app purchases.

Well i also agree with your previous comments. I am an app geek. I use almost every single app released so far. I am not that satisfied with launcher because it drains my phone battery but the others are very cool and useful apps to install :)

I learned German with the help of Duolingo! A great app for free that will help you learn a language you’ve always wanted to! :) I can’t forget the first time I started using it, so helpful and has very good features and nice way of teaching one a particular language :)
