Minecraft is a popular game that was originally designed for the desktop operating systems but now it is available for almost every desktop and mobile operating system available nowadays; it is even available for gaming consoles. According to Google Play Store official page for Minecraft Pocket Edition, this game has been downloaded 5-10 million times while almost a million users have submitted their feedback that is 4.5 on average. Obviously feedback this high reflects how much people love this game. Let’s talk about different features, game play, graphics and sound effects of this game.

Minecraft Pocket Edition for Android is available for $6.99 that is a pretty high price as compared to other games and apps out there. Yet 5-10 million downloads at $6.99 per copy clearly shows how amazing this game is and how much people are willing to spend on that. Amazingly there are no IAPs so you don’t have to worry about emptying your pocket.

The earlier version of Minecraft allowed people to play this game in single player mode but the latest version supports multiplayer mode than is more fun because you can build an entire city with your friends. On the other hand, people all over the globe submit their developments to Minecraft so this game is in continuous development. Unfortunately Minecraft Pocket Edition comes with some limitations and restrictions; first of all it is not as deep as the PC version and players cannot connect their game with the PC version.

People who have played Minecraft on their PCs don’t usually like the Minecraft Pocket Edition because of its limitations. The Minecraft Pocket Edition comes with simple controls with directional arrows and a single big button for jumping, though additional buttons appear when needed; for example when you press and hold the forward button, left and right strafe buttons appear. This type of controls allows dynamic controlling that is way more fun than the conventional static controls.

Although the Minecraft Pocket Edition has some limitations but surely it is more fun because of the haptic feedback and some other features that PC version cannot deliver. In order to mine and interact with the world, simply select the blocks, tap and hold where you want to mine them. On the other hand, people whole love playing Minecraft PC version can simply go to settings and change the controls to “Split Controls” that is like an emulator for PC version where players can play Minecraft Pocket Edition like the PC version by controlling things with virtual mouse and keyboard.

There is another mode named “Creative Mode” that comes with a totally different user interface and game play experience. The creative mode shows all the blocks in a palette on the screen and in this mode, players can fly too. Although the flying experience was weird in older version of Minecraft Pocket Edition but the latest version has improved it. The bottom line is, Minecraft Pocket Edition is a great game and wonderful way to enjoy Minecraft without a PC but players cannot connect to Minecraft servers for desktop PCs while playing Minecraft Pocket Edition on mobile devices.

I play this game, and I love this game but that doesn’t change the fact that the price is a little bit too much. Seriously, $6,99 for a game ?? Despite the fact it’s great, it’s still a bit too much.

I really don’t feel like wasting that much money on a game, but after seeing the numbers….well, this might change my mind :)

It is a high price compared to all the other games out there, but why do you even compare Minecraft to other games? It’s much, much better, there isn’t a game of this kind yet, at least not one I’ve heard of so far.

Brilliant…They definitely thought of everything. If someone’s not satisfied with Pocket Edition and the way it works, can change the setting and get a totally new experience, as if they’re playing on their Desktop PCs

The part that surprised me was that there are still a lot of limitations, and this isn’t supposed to be happening for a game that costs that much and is that popular….

there’s really no point in even trying the Pocked Edition after you have played the game on your PC….too many limitations, ruins the whole experience….

I don’t like this application performance. There are far better applications to be downloaded. I agree with Scotty about the game performance..

People are willing to spend money on something that’s worth and they like. Minecraft is one of those games that are really worth the money.
